Help! I need to share this with the community so I'm not the only one who is sick to their stomach over a letter to the editor in my local newspaper, The Ridgefield Press (Ridgefield, CT).
This LTE is from a 13 year old boy and his 10 year old brother. It is in response to a "pro-democratic" LTE from a week ago which I saw, but I have already recycled the newspaper . The Press does not have its LTEs online. I'm keeping all of the names out of it.
Democrats Don't Keep Kids Safe.
In response to "Dr. X's" letter we would like to correct some faults its contents could possibly have conveyed. In his letter, he mentioned the fact that in order to protect children, we should vote for only Democratic candidates. The letter ran as follows: "Therefore , for those parents wishing to keep their children safe, I would strongly urge voting only for Democratic candidate for federal, state, and local offices."
With all due respect, the doctor's statement is incorrect. Saying that Democrats would keep children safe is a complete contradiction, since everyone knows that Democrats support Planned Parenthood, the leading human slaughter house in the United States, committing up to 3,288 murders each day with about one abortion every 26 seconds.
It is despicable to say they care, or even give a thought about children's safety, when millions of lives are thrown away at their hands. As children, we are thankful that we have not been given up to this fate and we are horrified at the conduct of our present government leaders. Studying politics very closely, we realize that there has rarely been a Democrat who hasn't been so careless about these precious human lies. We sincerely hope that at least one person who has been taken in by the doctor's letter has a change of heart, and we kindly ask Dr. X himself to look at this matter from a moral and logical viewpoint.
Incidentally , on the subject of gun control, the Second Amendment of the Constitution has already settled the matter. It clearly states that all citizens have the right to bear arms. This is a law. There is nothing in the Constitution, however, that justifies the killing of an innocent child.
