It is not surprising to anyone that follows current events that the secretly recorded video by conservative activist, James O'Keefe, was highly edited to support his political agenda.

The Blaze viewed the two hour raw video and noticed 8 distortions.

1.  NPR executive, Ron Schiller, had no reason to believe he was meeting with the Muslim Brotherhood.

2.  Mr. Schiller did not show amusement at the mission statement to spread sharia law across the world.

3.  Mr. Schiller did give his personal opinion about some republicans but speaks positively about the GOP and his belief in fiscal conservatism.

4.  Mr. Schiller did describe Tea Party members as "xenophobic" and racist."  But, he was essentially repeating the views expressed to him by two republicans.

5.  Mr. Schiller was reluctant to criticize the education of conservatives and another NPR executive, Betsy Liley, defended the intelligence of FOX viewers.

6.  Mr. Schiller detailed why federal funding was important, especially for local stations.  Contrary to the edited video that implied NPR did not want or need federal funding.

7-8.  Are suspicious audio issues.

NPR had the two hour raw video analyzed and noticed that at least six different times Mr. Schiller said that money does not buy news coverage.

Finally, I found it very interesting that Rep. Eric Cantor and other Tea Party conservatives are attributing the personal statement of one NPR official to the entire NPR organization.  Yet, when someone takes the statements of a few Tea Party members that are offensive or racist and attribute it to the entire organization people in the Tea Party say it's unfair to take the statement of one person and attribute it to the entire Tea Party.  Or they will say that person's views don't reflect those of the Tea Party.

Well, after watching the entire video, it appears obvious that Mr. Schiller's personal views are not the views of NPR.

No! Please, Dont! I'm Broke.

There are reports that President Obama is considering  using military options in Libya.  I really hope he resists the advice to use our military in Libya.

The Fear Card

by Circle City News

Some conservatives,  Republicans and Tea Party people love to call you a socialist, Anti-American, commie,  and Marxist when you disagree with them.  Then they get upset if a you call them a racist because you disagree with them.

My Message To The Birthers

by Circle City News

I fail to understand how President Barack Obama showing you his birth certificate would change your mind.  He showed a copy of his birth certificate on his website, the governor and other State officials confirmed that he was born in Hawaii, his birth was announced in two newspapers; but yet you still refuse to believe the truth, that he was born in America and is an American citizen.

How many times have you heard someone say they wanted to work for the government and get rich?  I've honestly never heard it until now.  The new meme seems to be that government workers are overpaid and getting rich off the taxpayer dime.  First, government workers pay taxes, so I wish the likes of Gov. Scott Walker and Gov. Haley Barbour would stop talking like government workers don't pay taxes.

More Right-Wing Jingoism

by Circle City News

Former Gov. Mike Huckabee told a radio audience thatPresident Barack Obama grew up in Kenya.  He went in detail about President Obama being raised to hate the Brits, and having different views than Americans.  Perhaps he should have said President Obama has a different view than right-wing Birther believing White people.

The Tea Party claims to be more patriotic than other Americans.  One of their rallying cries, pre-midterm elections was, "We want to take our country back."   They never really defined who took the country and when.  Nor did they say how far they wanted to take it back.  I believe whenever a republican gets elected president again we won't hear too much about the Tea Party.

IMHO: Gays in the Military

by Circle City News

The recent hearings concerning allowing gays to serve openly in the military is being  debated by a bunch of weak, homophobic men.   Why don't we adopt a policy to discharge people in the military that are weak, homophobic and discriminate against other Americans, especially their fellow troops. Now, I have a few questions about the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy.

A Case for Religious Freedom

by Circle City News

President Obama was correct in stating he would not comment on the wisdom of building the Mosque near ground zero but that the people had a right to build the Mosque.  It is not surprising that Republicans, Tea Baggers and right wingers are criticizing his statements.  I know many of them criticize the president because they are still upset he was elected, they think he is a secret Muslim and was born in a foreign country.  I get that.  What bothers me is now they want to eliminate the 1st and 14th Amendments.  I think some of them would be just fine with only the 2nd and 10th Amendments.  This from the same party that is claiming President Obama is not following the Constitution of the United States.  Now here they are wanting to change it...sounds like sore losers to me.  Liberals sure weren't talking about changing the Constitution when the majority conservative Supreme Court ruled no more counting ballots--George W. Bush is the president (even though the majority of people in the United States voted for Al Gore).

FOX News has been hyping the New Black Panther Party (NBPP) voter intimidation non-case. First, this is not the original Black Panthers from the 1960's.  The NBPP  is classified as a hate group and there is  no connection between them, the original Black Panther Party, or President Obama except the color of their skin.

The United States filed suit against Arizona for their new immigration law, S.B. 1070.  The U.S. Constitution gives sole authority to the federal government to regulate and enforce immigration. Now let us see if some right wing activist judges will re-interpret the Constitution for political reasons.

When a woman alleges she was the victim of rape people do not immediately say she is playing, "The Rape Card," even though some women have falsely claimed they have been victims of rape.

When a black person alleges they were the victim of racism some people and I said SOME people, respond with they (blacks) are playing "The Race Card."    They say it like this is some game to be played.  Blacks don't benefit by being the victims of racism.  Sure, there are some blacks that have lied about being a victim of racism, just as there are some women that have lied about being the victim or rape or men have lied about being robbed.  People don't automatically assume the woman is playing the "The Rape Card" or the man is playing the "The Robbery Card."
