So we've won. I feel like I've personally screamed my head off at my computer, the TV, and the radio in an effort to really GOTV. Yeah, I realize that no one other than my dog heard me, but that's not the point. The point is that we won and that I can lie to myself by pretending that my yelling helped us win in some small way.
Now it's time to follow-up on that win.
Hey, I just (finally) found this. It's called They Fucking Hate You and the author is John Cole. It's been linked by a few people here, but it features a long discussion and if you haven't read it, you must. It should be required reading for all Kossacks.
During Katrina it was an automatic and just plain understood taboo to mock the misery the entire South and especially New Orleans was experiencing as a result of the storm.

I'm not going to quote any of it - I'm not going to give them free press. We all already know why they do it.
My only comment is:
This is why. Yea, I say verily unto you, THIS is why. He is watching. He is judging. He knows.
I'm awaiting the arrival of Sandy, and I've been reading the diaries from people suggesting the various ways to prepare - all of them good. It reminded me of a story from my youth that I never really tied in politically until this year due to you, the Kossacks...so, I thought I'd share.
