Let’s pretend there were two types of gasoline: the first contained tetra-ethyl lead, while the other kind didn’t.

The lead-containing gasoline boosted octane, added power and decreased engine knocking.  Unfortunately, it also injected toxic heavy metalsinto our biosphere.

Most Kossacks would support laws that prohibited leaded gasolineand taxed unleaded gasoline to offset the costs roads, highways and bridges.

Right?

Everyone knows about Florida Attorney General Bill McCullom's lawsuit against the Health Care Law.  McCollum, who is currently running for Governor against Democrat Alex Sink, is obviously pandering to the right wing in an attempt to stir up the TEA pot.  However, what if Dan Gelber (D-Miami Beach) were successful in his bid to become FL Attorney General.  Would he be able to withdraw the McCollum suit?  Could Dan Gelber help save the single best piece of domestic policy since the 60s.

Well, I don't normally subject myself to this kind of stuff, but today, I just couldn't resist.  Fox "News" posted the article "In Gamble, Obama and Dems Prepare to Ram Health Care Through."  Kossacks are well versed in the rhetorical tricks used by Fox "News" to skew facts and twist reality.  However, what is really scary is scrolling through the "Comments" portion.  This is where we get psychological insight into that 24% of Americans who STILL think George W. Bush actually did a great job.

Got outted yesterday.

Never been outted before.

Not sure who did it, but I have some strong suspicions.

Came home yesterday and got a call from a reporter named Heather from The Miami Herald.  She knew my name, my dKos login ID and my place of employment.  Heather started asking me questions about negative statements I allegedly made on dKos regarding Dave Aronberg (Democratic State Senator from Greenacres Florida).   When I asked her how she got my name and phone number she said, "Someone said I should call you and look into this."

I might be wrong, but that kind of narrows it down.

Florida is THE 2010 state to watch.  Momentum started with Obama (props to Steve Schale).  GOP Sen. Mel Martinez quit.  Jeb balked, and several Dems had already entered the ring before  Gov. Charlie Crist declared.  Kos himself predicted Crist would defect and run as a Dem.

Check out the race for FL Attorney General.  Two Dem. State Senators, Front runner Dan Gelber and Dave Aronberg, are in. The real story is the cavernous absence of any GOP threat.

So far it would appear FL-GOP has banked its hopes on a cream puff five time looser with no experience, a left-leaning agenda, and quite possibly the lamest website of all times.

Dan Gelber (D-Miami Beach) is out in front of both Dave Aronberg (D-Green Acres) and potential GOP Jim Lewis (R-Ft. Lauderdale).  In a Sachs/Mason-Dixon Poll presented July 1st, Gelber earned the highest approval rating of all three candidates who have announced their intentions to run.  This poll, combined with a strong fund raising quarter and some heavy-hitter endorsements from Florida's Democratic ranks, demonstrate that Gelber is poised to become Florida's next Attorney General.

As Dan Gelber says, "You pay for a cheap education forever."
