If Bernie has no chance, why do we have to stop supporting him? Clinton should just go ahead and "pivot" already, unless she does see a path for him.
Are her supporters seriously worried that anyone in their right mind who was going to vote against Trump is going to be swayed not to do so because of something a Bernie supporter says? Bernie's movement was never about one individual, but rather about true change that can only be accomplished by electing progressives across the boards, which is why it is critical that Bernie keeps the momentum going until the conventions. Then, if he does not have enough delegates for the nomination, he makes an incredible speech, and Bernie and Elizabeth lead progressive and anti-Trump voters to the polls in unprecedented numbers to take back congress and the state houses.
If you think just electing Clinton President without any progressive support wont set us backward, you are seriously mistaken.
Edited to add: I find it amazing that more than one person is certain that it is more likely that I am just making up this issue than that they just have not seen any of the articles or blogs insisting that we switch to Clinton NOW. Why would I bother writing this blog unless I was responding to something specific? But I suppose there are worse things than starting the morning with a little snark sent in my direction.
