The Democratic Governors Association is planning to spend millions of dollars in the NJGOP gubernatorial primary this spring on negative ads attacking front runner and establishment favorite Chris Christie.
Wingnut conservative Steve Lonegan is still behind in the polls against his opponent, former US Attorney and establishment favorite Chris Christie, for the NJGOP gubernatorial primary but now he's really getting serious by bringing up the heavy artillery.
Reporter Matt Friedman at http://www.politickernj.com/... PolitickerNJ.com says things are getting nasty and real personal between the two candidates in New Jersey's GOP gubernatorial primary, moderate establishment favorite Chris Christie and uberwingnut insurgent Steve Lonegan.
It seems marital status and divided loyalties have become an issue in New Jersey's GOP primary for Governor, according to the website PolitickerNJ.com. Rightwing extremist Steve Lonegan is fighting an uphill campaign to gain the nomination from establishment favorite, the former US Attorney Chris Christie.
The upcoming gubernatorial election in New Jersey pitting the incumbent, presumptive Democratic nominee Jon Corzine, against the GOP nominee seems like it will be close given the former's low approval rating in recent polls. However, I believe the real bloodletting will come this June. In what has become almost an annual spring tradition, like their Taliban counterparts in Afghanistan, the wingnut faction of the NJGOP is launching another offensive against their RINO (Republican In Name Only) rivals for control over the hearts and minds of an ever dwindling number of the GOP faithful in New Jersey.
After conferring with her client, former presidential candidate "Ambassador Dr. Alan Keyes", and her colleague Attorney Gary Kreep, Attorney Orly Taitz announced she intends to file a legal action on behalf of military personnel to determine if Barack Obama, who she refers to as Barry Soetoro-Obama (his step-father's surname), is a natural born citizen and, therefore, whether he is the legitimate President and Commander-in-Chief of the nation's armed forces.
It seems those pesky wingnut lawyers over at Judicial Watch, who wasted 60 million taxpayer dollars on their quest for the holy grail of Clinton's impeachment ten years ago, are back again to amuse us with more of their wacky antics. This time they managed to manipulate some poor slob over at the State Department to file a lawsuit in federal court against newly sworn-in Secretary of State Hillary Clinton claiming she is constitutionally ineligible to serve.
Evidently perennial candidate Alan Keyes has given up on presidential politics for the time being and is going into the tree business. In a recent essay called "How to tell a bad tree" he claims the best way to determine the condition of a tree is by the quality of its fruit.
Wingnut GOP Assemblyman Michael Doherty is a sore loser after GOP moderate Assemblywoman Marcia Karrow beat him decisively at a special convention of GOP leaders to choose a successor to the 23rd legislative district's State Senator Leonard Lance, who was elected to Congress last November.
Constitutional lawyer Edwin Vieira Jr. declared in a column, "America is facing potentially the gravest constitutional crisis in her history." His reasoning (or lack thereof) is based on his perception that Obama has not proven to the satisfaction of every single wingnut in the country that he wasn't born on some outer planetoid in the asteroid belt. He described an Obama presidency as a "national disaster of having an outright usurper purportedly elected as President." Vieira, BTW, is the brother of TV news personality Meredith Vieira and possesses BA, MA, PhD, and JD degrees from Harvard University, proving that a mutational variety of wingnut does exist.
Just when we thought wingnuts might heed President Obama's admonition to recognize it is time to set aside childish things and give up on the eligibility issue, it seems they have come up with a new angle to keep the issue in focus and raise money as well for their nefarious schemes.
It isn't enough the bilious blowhard wants to overturn the results of the presidential election on a nonsensical technicality; he now wants to be compensated for the Senate seat he lost to Obama in 2004. In a recent filing augmenting his previous lawsuit to overturn the election results in California where he ran on the ballot as an independent candidate for President (since the GOP and even the Constitution Party rejected his candidacy), the Keyester's attorney claimed that Obama's birth status should not only negate the results of the presidential election but the 2004 election for U.S. Senate from Illinois as well where Obama easily defeated Keyes.
