My first impression of Liz Watson was that she understands the details of government policy and can articulate and defend her positions. Hearing about her experiences in writing successful labor legislation showed me that she is a person who knows how to get things done in government. Liz launched her campaign in Bloomington earlier this month.
After serving as executive director of the Georgetown Center on Poverty, Inequality and Public Policy, Liz ran the workplace justice program at the National Women’s Law Center. Here are some examples of Liz’s outstanding work on behalf of working women.

A “national advocate for working families,” Liz Watson served as the labor policy director and chief labor counsel for the Democrats on the Committee on Education and the Workforce in the United States House of Representatives. She has written policies to raise the minimum wage, protect working people from being cheated out of their pay, and to create pathways to the middle class.
In her campaign launch Liz had this to say: “I’m running for Congress because I believe that if you work hard and play by the rules you should be able to get ahead. But today, too many hardworking families across Indiana’s 9th Congressional District struggle to keep their heads above water,”
Liz Watson wants to bring good jobs, affordable health care, and high-quality public education to Indiana’s working families. I encourage you to look at her qualifications and contribute to her campaign if you agreed she is the best person to represent working families of southern Indiana in Congress.

Money will be needed to help her campaign compete against the rich carpetbagger who currently holds the seat. How to Buy a Seat in Congress During the 2016 primary Trey Hollingsworth loaned himself 3 million dollars and his father’s SuperPac gave him another million as the Tennessee resident found a winnable gerrymandered congressional seat to buy: the seat in southern Indiana vacated by Todd Young’s senatorial campaign.
I invite you to join me in supporting Liz Watson for Indiana’s 9th Congressional District. Liz Watson for Indiana
