FR IPOD Musings

by MariaWr

I’m a believer in keeping friends close and enemies closer, so I do visit RW blog sites from time to time. Over at FR (the name itself  shall not be uttered) the was a thread discussing the gift of the Ipod from the First Couple to the Queen.  You can about guess how the thread runs, and it was good for a laugh.  Also shows there's no redeeming some people.
Come below for more...bring your waders, please.

What did you think of the IPOD gift?

From Free Republic:

FREEPERS RISE UP! March on the Senate Monday and Tuesday!
Stop the Porkulus Coup d'Etat
Saturday, February 7, 2009 | Kristinn

Posted on Saturday, February 07, 2009 2:45:21 PM by kristinn

You do not need a leader, you do not need an organizer, you do not need a permit. You only need the desire to stop this bill before it's too late. After Tuesday it will be too late.

Throw out your schedule, take the days off, hop on a plane, a train, a bus, get in your car, take the Metro, take a cab and go!

Take your case directly to the Senate. Descend on the offices of Specter, Collins and Snowe. Fill their offices with passionate opponents of the Porkulus Bill. You do not have to do dumb things to get yourself arrested. Do smart things to get your point across.

Stop by the offices of the good guys and show them your support.

Visit the bad guys' offices and give them a piece of your mind.

The RRW is planning an "intervention" for next Monday and Tuesday. as the
the American Recovery & Reinvestment Act of 2009 slogs toward a vote.

LOLs  (w/ poll)

by MariaWr

Needing a good belly laugh to drive the dreary weather gloomies away, I ventured over to count how many posts hit the FR website re: Obama's BC.

I laughed myself silly. And they give money to so-called 'patroits' to push this? Really stupid.

They have contrived a story more complex than any storyline on the Young and the Restless.    They refuse to accept the truth as fact, and so marginalize any creditability by pushing a stupid story, then wonder why the MSM doesn't. DUH. Perhaps it's because  the story is one of many stupid lies out there.

And where the heck WAS Michelle's whitey tape?

No links provided. My visit is enough traffic, thank you. Watch your step and enjoy a few laughs with me....

Found this link to the Times Online (UK) and what do I see?

Campaign finance records have revealed that the law firm founded by Charles Keating - before he went to jail for fraud, racketeering, and conspiracy for his activities as chairman of Lincoln Savings and Loans - has made donations totalling over $50,000 to McCain's campaign.

Netroots: Please Refocus on McCain

by MariaWr

McSame is riding on her coattails, loving the attention WE have given and continue to give HER, while ignoring HIM.  ENOUGH!!!

Please---refocus your diaries on making comparisions of Shrubs' failed foreign, economic and social policies and McSame's record of support for those same FAILED policies.  Link the housing, economic disaster, and mortgage and bank "welfare" bailouts to Shrub and McCain.  Slam him NOW. Post your slamming diaries on other sites now. You have the power. It's McBUSH, McBush, MCBUSH.
Netroots, we need you to do this NOW. The WORLD needs you to do this now.

Grow, Baby, Grow

by MariaWr

The Democratic Party has so many positives, so many good policies in  our platform  that reflect a mission of serving the common good, instead of the greed of the financial/corporate/military entities that are sucking the blood out of our country.
First of all,  the War in Iraq.  Be clear about this, this war was about access to oil. There were no weapons of mass destruction,  and Iraq, as we know, had nothing to do with the attack on 9/11.
The republicans have their slogan (you know what it is so I will not repeat it here) for dealing with the
energy supply problem.  However, we all know that it is just another lie.  A far better slogan for the Democrats to push would be Grow, Baby, Grow.  And this is why...

The Republican Madrassa

by MariaWr
Madrasah (Arabic: مدرسة, madrasa pl. madāris مدارس) is the Arabic word for any type of school, secular or religious (of any religion).
The Republicans have their own madrassa- their "school" is the airwaves, television, presidential bully pulpit and news outlets.  What is the curriculum and the religion of the  Republican madrassa ?

Hatred for all things liberal.

How about KUDZU in your tank?

by MariaWr

My family laughs at me when I say I want my next car to run on water. But scientists are looking at other sources of biofuels. Although corn and beets have been used and algae is being considered, there's another renewable source that may hold promise-- kudzu -- "the plant that ate the South".
