The story currently being sold is that unless the Democrats end up with 51 seats in the Senate tonight, they lost. With the map we area dealing with that was always going to be hard to get, but who knows, we might!
Do not let the media present winning 25 of the 35 races as a defeat! The messaging should be how Democrats won 25 (or whatever) races while the Republicans could only win 10 (or whatever the number ends up being).
“Democrats win 70% of Senate seats up in this election” sounds like an amazing success and will match the level of victories we can hopefully show in the House races.
I hope some headline writers here and elsewhere see this, take it in, and use this angle later this evening when the results roll in. This should be a great victory, and we need the message to make it seem as big and successful as possible.
Lets win this thing and have one more nice evening before this site becomes a hot mess of taking sides on candidates next year.
