We are down to the last two days of campaigning and three days of work. For everyone who has signed up to knock on doors or work at polling locations and is considering bagging out because it's too cold where you live or because the tracking polls are looking good, the video posted below the fold will give you that little extra something something. This will also pick you up if all you've really been doing is wearing your Obama t-shirt or hoodie, obsessively checking blogs, and just wanting election day to arrive already.
Speaking of Obama clothes, I am your average 40-something paunchy white guy, and I have noticed for a while that when I am walking down the street wearing one of my Obama shirts, African-Americans will either shoot me a smile or a thumbs up, or say something positive to me. I think they have been asking for quite some time, "is anyone out there?" and are happy each time there is further confirmation that the answer is "yes."
Anyways, the video is, in essence, the theme of Obama's entire campaign, but put to music by the great John Legend. The title of the song is "If You're Out There."
