Yesterday morning I wrote a Diary entry about how I had emailed Dean Chambers saying that it's one thing to be wrong on the polling but to vilify Nate with comments about his mannerisms and anatomy made him (Dean) look like a jerk and that he should man up and apologize for that. He responded calling me a "shitbag" (that's a quote). You can look up the Diary of you want. Some folks thought I should have shamed him more than I did and others said he reacted to my insult. That would be a different conversation (Is calling Dean a jerk after what he did to Nate in print an incorrect way to handle the thought or not).
But I write here, now to point you to an article Dean wrote apologizing later yesterday (I'd like to think because he realized I was right).
Regarding my comments about Nate Silver's appearance by Dean Chambers
I emailed Dean Chambers at his website about vilifying Nate Silver's model and character and this is what I got back; classy and obviously a very intelligent chap.

It's one thing to have an opinion and a hope, but when you put others down because their opinion and hope is opposite yours with insults about appearance and mannerisms, and then you end up being WRONG, you look like the total JERK. You have admitted to being wrong, but when are you going to man up and say you are sorry for being a jerk too.
If Campaign Strategy Tells, and I Think it does...
Can HC catch BO in pop vote..even in her best case scenerio of no caucuses counted, but MI & FLA included?
The FISA renewal legislation was kicked down the road a bit yesterday. Many Dailykos folks, including myself, did what we could with phone calls and faxes to achieve this outcome. I participated in the movement because I strongly disagree that TELCOMs should skate after not considering the legal rammifications of handing over names, numbers and tapes of American's phone calls to the NSA without a warrant.
But there is other stuff about the renewal bill that is equally troublesome. On KPFA in SF this morning I heard a panel discussing how, and to what extent, AT&T is handing over ALL (repeat ALL) phone records of ALL (repeat ALL [not just suspected terrorists]) Americans. This was news to me and now I'm even more anxious about this legislation. There was a term they used for this kind of survailence that escaped me..."dragnet" or "bucket"?
Who else has other info about how this bill is 'bad' besides the immunity issue? I'm not confident enough to read the bill myself and figure out the nuances of the language.
Fox news' President approval poll at 33%, very close to pollster.com's average.
Great articel on questions the new Dem Congress should be exploring.
