Of course it's too soon to start counting our chickens, but our prospects for Election Day are looking pretty good right now. But as the left dreams big of the sweeping changes that November 4th could bring, service workers at the University of California are bracing for the long haul. On November 5th (unless UC suddenly sees the light between now and then) they will still be struggling to put food on the table, get their kids to the doctor, and pay the rent. After the election, their struggle continues because they will still be Facing Poverty at UC.
The service workers are working hard to put their message out to the public. Their website , which I have diaried about before, was a first step. Recently, they have expanded their audience. This fall, Facing Poverty at UC commercials are playing during UC Berkeley and UCLA football games every Saturday. Go below the fold to see the commercials.
