In case you missed the voting for my earlier post "Hashtaggery" (sounded clever when I wrote it very late one night) I've made a decision.
The question was, what unique hashtag should I use for the Gene Stilp for Congress Campaign on Twitter?
Originally I was leaning toward something clever, but in the end I settled for something easily identifiable and easy to remember. Not so much pizazz, but hopefully effective.
So...
#Stilp2012 is the winner.
Yeah, I know. It's kinda lame compared to the likes of #NerdParty and #YouOutYoDamnMindIf - but hey, it says what it needs to say.
The real trick now is to get someone other than us to use it.
Maybe shameless bribery will work? Worth a try...
First 10 people to use the hashtag #Stilp2012 in some positive way will be rewarded with:
1. Top consideration for Retweets in the future.
2. Reciprocal hashtag promotion (as long as it's relevant and not profane).
In other words, I'll RT you and help you move your unique hashtag along. Again, it must be relevant and not profane.
We'll see what happens. It's hard to predict, but fun experimenting with the evolution of Social Media in Political Campaigns.
