Just thought that I'd say a bit concerning this.
Here in CO, Colorado Families First has been running a series of very tough ads against 1st-term GOP Congresswoman Marilyn Musgrave. The latest shows an actress that supposedly looks like her picking the pockets of a soldier who's receiving enemy fire in an urban battlefield. She's complained that the ads are inaccurate, and here's what her attorney said in a letter to Denver-area TV stations:
"To knowingly air such falsehoods not only runs counter to a Federal Communications Commission licensee's duty to the public, but also it is actionable as a matter of law and exposes you to possible legal liabilities."
That would be Craig Engle of Washington. Presumably, he's a GOP member.
What's good for the gander is good for the goose. If the GOP feels that slamming Musgrave for stuff she may or may not have voted for is too rough, then we should hold SBG to the same standard.
Just my 2 cents.
