I'm at work and won't be able to do much updating, but I had to get this out there. WOW!
It's a breaking story, but a judge in Lafayette just ruled that the state's ban on same-sex marriage is unconstitutional.
More to come, I'm sure.

Facepalm. I can't even.
WASHINGTON -- The Bill Cassidy Senate campaign announced Thursday that the candidate's unmarried 17-year-old daughter is pregnant as she prepares for her senior year at a Baton Rouge high school.
You know what might have helped with that?
Holy crap! Breaking news out of Jackson: Mark Mayfield, the leader of the Central Mississippi Tea Party, has been found dead of a gunshot wound in his home in Ridgeland. A suicide note was found on the scene.
Louisiana parents and schoolchildren can claim a victory today after a state district judge ruled two pieces of legislation underpinning Governor Bobby Jindal's school voucher program unconstitutional.
Per the Baton Rouge Advocate:
[Louisiana] State District Judge Tim Kelley ruled Friday that Gov. Bobby Jindal’s expanded voucher program unconstitutionally diverts public money to send some public school students to private and parochial schools.
This is a huge victory for education advocates in the state and a huge defeat for this joke of a program.
You might remember back in July when Jindal's handpicked state superintendent John "Lying Liarson" White got caught lying to the media regarding the voucher program after it was discovered that the state was essentially handing out money, with no investigation at all, to anyone claiming to run a private school.
The scandal, as published in the Monroe News-Star:
In the email, White discusses how he will create the news story by releasing a communication to schools regarding a timeline for student assignment.
"This will allow us to kill multiple birds with one stone," White writes. "It would allow us to talk through the process with the media, muddying up a narrative they're trying to keep black and white."
Not to mention the heinous quality
of the "education" these private schools were planning to inflict on innocent children.
Again: This is a big win for the good guys and a big loss for Jindal and his lying cohorts.
