Hi, everyone. One of my favourite parts of any election night's coverage on CNN is 'the big board', specifically when John King goes through a race's results and boldly proclaims "This is where the people are". Also, there is nothing quite like the drama of a statewide race in Missouri where the Republican is 5 or 6 points up, but you can see St. Louis is still out...

**TO THOSE THAT HAVE READ MY PREVIOUS DIARIES, THIS IS SIMILAR INFORMATION, BUT ARRANGED CHRONOLOGICALLY AND SKIPPING SOME STATES AND WRITEUP, FOCUSING ON STATES WITH STATE-WIDE RACES**

"I wish I were American for one day"

by Blarghman

An article I really loved about the response to the US elections up here in the frozen north, especially among African-Canadians.

Although this is a site about American politics, we have had a number of discussion threads on the election here in the Great White North, and hopefully some dual-citizen, transplanted Americans, Canadians who are as interested in US politics as our own (like me), and just interested American Kossaks will be interested in chatting, talking and sharing their own ideas about our national elections, which are taking place as we speak, today the 14th of October. Be careful though, it is quite a long journey, spanning almost 4 million square miles (and several pages in a Word document).

Canadian election primer/talk thread

by Blarghman

Although this is a site about American politics, we have had a number of discussion threads on the election here in the Great White North, and hopefully some dual-citizen, transplanted Americans, Canadians who are as interested in US politics as our own (like me), and just interested American Kossaks will be interested in chatting talking and learning about our upcoming elections, which are tomorrow, the 14th of October. Follow me below the fold, where a somewhat long journey awaits.

Super delegate math revisited

by Blarghman

I published a diary on this about a month ago, and the response generally seemed positive, though not that many people seemed interested. Anyway, with the race still going on, I thought I'd republish it with updated data. My data is compiled from demconwatchand from the  Superdelegate Transparency Project. I still haven't seen any systematic superdelegate review like this, so hopefully others will find it of some use.

Hi, this is my first diary here, and I hope that people will find it interesting. While I’m a Canadian citizen, and thus have no truly vested interest in either the election or the primary, I am an ardent follower of American politics, if only because no one does a horse race like you Americans. To this end, I’ve done some work with the superdelegate numbers, mostly for my own amusement, and since I haven’t seen any data like this here, I figured I‘d throw mine up and see what people thought. My data is compiled from demconwatch and from the  Superdelegate Transparency Project.
