Sure, the "high-roaders" would have you believe that Bristol Palin is a story that is off limits.
Not when discussing abortion, she isn't.
The "pro-life" position is not misguided, but invasive.
The "pro-choice" position does not mean "pro-death."
If you want to teach your children that abortions are wrong, then go right ahead. But it is wrong of you to want to force that onto people who have nothing to do with you.
The concepts of the two opposing positions in the abortion debate seems haywire to me. It's not "Pro-Life" vs "Pro-Death." The abortion debate is most powerful in the hands of parents. The "Pro-Choice" position gets chewed up and remolded by Pro-lifers as if we, as Pro-choicers, want to kill babies.
That is the most fruitcake interpretation of common sense I have ever heard!
Pro-choicers don't really care if you keep the baby or not, they care that you have a safe option should you decide to choose otherwise.
How can anyone not want that?
Once again, the debate is most powerful in the hands of parents. You have to teach your children the responsibilities of being a parent. You cannot blame society for what has happend, it is the responsibilites of the parents to do this.
