I’m not sure if you’ve heard of the Injustice Boycott but each day we are doing things that we can do to fight against injustice in the United States. These are things that each person can do but will hopefully make a difference to influence change and fight against racial inequality.

Today is Day 2 of the Injustice Boycott and here is the action that you can take today:
On each day of Phase 1, we are going to send you at least one simple, but powerful action step you can take to help loosen the lid on the jars of justice in Standing Rock, San Francisco, and New York City.
As you likely know, on July 17th, 2014, the NYPD killed Eric Garner, an unarmed father and grandfather, by applying an illegal chokehold, then ignoring his repeated pleas for relief.
The family of Eric Garner called for Officer Daniel Pantaleo to be prosecuted for this crime, but local prosecutors did not even bring charges. In the wake of that, the City of New York has insulted the Garner family - day in and day out - by refusing to even fire Daniel Pantaleo for what he did. Now two and a half years later, he is still employed by the NYPD.
To be clear, what he did violated NYPD policy. Not only that, but the government coroner declared Eric's death a homicide.
The Garner family is calling on New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio and NYPD Police Commissioner O'Neil to immediately terminate Daniel Pantaleo. No reasonable excuse explains his continued employment. It is an insult to the Garner family and to the taxpayers of New York that his employment has been protected for so long. It is also the perfect illustration for everything that is wrong with issues of injustice in New York City.
The Justice League NYC has joined the Garner family in demanding this simple action. Today, we are joining Justice League NYC and the family of Eric Garner to demand that New York City immediately terminate the employment of Officer Daniel Pantaleo.
Here is how you can join us in this effort. (Please do these actions only. We will step up the pressure day by day.)
