I have not posted in such a long time, but I really need an outlet for my outrage. We have hit the grim reality of 1,000 coronavirus deaths in a single day, and this will only increase. One would see the estimates, 100,000 or 200,000 and think really, can we hit that, or are those estimates too high? They are not. With 1,000 deaths today, and this will only increase, think of the next two months. Every single day, more than 1,000 people will die. More than 30,000 dead in April alone. Will it be 60,000 or more in May? How many in June? How much exponential growth will there be?
This is the grim reality as of today, such a horrible milestone, it is hard to write.

I keep thinking of the horror that is coming to Florida and did a little research on the stay at home orders to get a little perspective. I know that the tsunami coming to Florida is of the governors own making, but nonetheless, that does not make the loss of life any less tragic, but so much could have been avoided.

According to this www.thedailybeast.com/…
New York issued their stay at home order on March 20th, with their cases at 7,102. Florida just issued their stay at home order lite (have to exclude churches WTF) when there was over 9,000 deaths. The spread in Florida is going to make NY pale in comparison.
I am sure that Mark Sumner is working on another insightful piece on this, but I am working from home and so frustrated, I just needed to write this as therapy to vent.
Take care everyone, stay safe
