My biggest concern for Tuesday is how decisions are made about closing the polls...
Here is my concern: Everyone is expecting huge lines, particularly in heavily populated (read Democrat-dominated) areas. Some are predicting lines up to 4-5 hours or longer if challengers impede the voting process.
OK, so forget about the people who get discoraged and walk away. (Which sucks, but what can you do?) But what if, say, the polls close at 8pm and you got in line at 3pm, and you don't make it to the ballot booth before 8pm? Will the election officials extend the closing time?
My fear is that they are going to try to run out the clock on us.
Can folks take me through this on a state by state basis? Thanks.
