Create series of internment camps to educate Fox News viewers on basic reading and writing skills.
We are facing a problem in this country, an enormous problem of epic proportions. Fox News Viewers. With their terrible spelling and completely warped view of government they say things like "keep you gubermint hands of my medicare!" and "repele Obamacare" (because they like Nixoncare so much).
I urge the president to set up a series of internment camps where these poor, uniformed individuals can learn basic reading and writing skills and contribute to society like the rest of us. Like working in car washes and greeting people at Wal-Mart. Instead of just eating gubermint cheese all day long and smelling like cabbage.
Apparently the "donation" was free licenses for microsoft products, which they give to non-profits.
"As part of that programme the organisation requested free software licenses, and Microsoft provided them, just like we do for thousands of other eligible non-profits every year," Katie Stainer, a spokeswoman for Microsoft, said in a statement.
"Microsoft's position on climate change remains unchanged. Microsoft believes climate change is a serious issue that demands immediate, worldwide attention and we are acting accordingly. We are pursuing strategies and taking actions that are consistent with a strong commitment to reducing our own impact as well as the impact of our products.
"In addition, Microsoft has adopted a broad policy statement on climate change that expresses support for government action to create market-based mechanisms to address climate change."
Good to know :)
So how much money, and for what reason is Microsoft connected to the Heartland Institute? Most of what I'm reading is very vague, but it would seem that Microsoft would be quite susceptible to pressure to cease and desist giving these fools money.
What say You?
