Note: This article was written by Kirby on ConnecticutBob.com this morning. She's a nurse who has worked inside the health services industry for many years. All week she's been posting articles on Connecticut Bob about the "health care" issue. This is her latest installment:
"OK, I've controlled my rage all week -- now I am so totally pissed off that I just want to scream."
Hypocrite much, senator?
From Christine Stuart at CT News Junkie (updated video posted):
Before heading to Bridgeport Monday, U.S. Sen. Joseph Lieberman stopped at Our Piece of the Pie in Hartford to talk about a $200,000 earmark the nonprofit social service agency will be receiving this year. After a brief tour of the facility on Sargent Street, Lieberman agreed to answer some general questions from the media.
Did Lieberman happen to mention if he agrees with his buddy John McCain's hard line stance on ending ALL earmarks if he wins in November? Is Lieberman against earmarks too? If he is, why is he openly embracing this particular earmark?
Perhaps he's indulging in a little political grandstanding at the expense of Sen. McCain's widely stated position of being against all earmarks.
Ferris Bueller took a day off. That's not a bad thing to do once in while.
But Senator Lieberman has taken a LOT of days off.
So, in the spirit of Ferris Bueller, I proudly present my tribute to our Senator: "Joe Lieberman's Day Off".
In the immortal words of Ed Wood: "This'll be the one they remember me for!"
(Major kudos to Kirby and Jon K.)
Joe Lieberman's Day Off
The Senator and his friends in Milford today. Just another stop for the "Tomorrow Tour" (or the "Joe Farewell" tour) with the KISS float haunting his every step.
I have two videos posted on my blog detailing the morning's activities. This is the second time in two weeks I've personally annoyed the good Senator, and he obviously remembers me.
He labeled me the "happiest aggressive interrogator". On tape. Nice.
Joe's got issues...
...just not very many of them.
For fun tonight, and yes, this is a typical Friday night for me, I clicked on the "Joe2006.com" website. This is Lieberman's official website.
And I saw that Joe has serious issues.
Well, I should say that Joe has some issues.
When I clicked on the "Get Involved" button, the sign-up sheet appeared. After the personal info fields, I captured this image. The lower portion of the window has a section for you to choose "What issues are important to you".
Well, the problem is, there's only a few issues listed; and none of them are the war in Iraq. Yeah, the fucking WAR IN IRAQ doesn't ever rate!
Apparently Joe doesn't think there's any interest in that minor little scrap. That's so....Republican of him.
