I'm watching the races, I just don't want to get my hopes up but I see Bernie sanders is thinking about Joining and the Effect  Martin O'Malley is already having on things and I feel like the only socially responsible thing to do is to suspend judgement. I stand by my arguments of Hillary if she manages to take the election becuase I was kind of hoping That candidates like Sanders would run for Senate while she was at the top of the ticket. I don't know if we've got  really good  people in 2016. What do you think?

Anyways I'm sorry. I forgot that I should appeal to idealism instead of just Opportunism, which tends to be my temptation.

CALL TO ARMS: Get Jeff Merkeley to be a Tad bit more Radical in his Fast track opposition

he's on the record against it: here's the letter...

Oregon's
Senator
Jeff
Merkley
Dear Paul,

Thank you for contacting me to share your concerns about granting fast-track trade negotiating authority for trade agreements like the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) or Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP). I appreciate hearing from you on this important issue.

As you know, Congress must approve any trade agreement before it can become law. Granting the President fast-track trade negotiating authority would expedite legislative procedures for any trade agreement the President sent to Congress. This would stop Congress from proposing amendments and would severely limit congressional debate and input into trade negotiations for deals. I share the concerns I have heard from many Oregonians that fast-track trade negotiating authority may not allow for adequate congressional oversight of trade agreements, especially given the unfortunate record of some trade agreements undermining American manufacturing and middle class jobs.

These concerns are made worse by the lack of transparency that has surrounded the TPP negotiations. I am troubled that the TPP is being negotiated in secret without sufficient input from Congress and the public and believe that consideration of fast-track should not come to the Senate floor before there has been a full opportunity for a robust public debate and feedback on the goals and scope of trade deals. A secretive process undermines the ability of our citizens and their representatives to influence the course of our nation's economic policymaking. Last year, I joined 11 of my Senate colleagues in expressing our concerns to the Senate Majority Leader and pushing for greater congressional input into any trade deals that come before us, and I will continue fighting to make trade negotiations more transparent.

+++

Please know that I am committed to ensuring that America's trade relationships raise Americans' standard of living, support good-paying jobs here at home, and advance the growth of American businesses and workers. Thank you, again, for sharing your thoughts. I hope you will continue to send me your views and ideas.

All my best,

Jeffrey A. Merkley
United States Senator

But this isn't enough, we want to Ratchet up the pressure to escalate this opposition to a full scale filibuster.

Call Merkeley. It's really easy. Just let him or his staffer or if you need leave a message.  Tell him we know he's on the Record against the the Fast track now but that we want more we Strongly urge him to commit to filibustering it.

let him know we know Wyden is  the one for it and don't care if the oregon senators disagree and WANT the tension and that there's plenty of campaign contributions waiting for the kind of candidate that would be that brave.

Merkley's number
(202) 224-3753

let's make some noise to kill the Fast track.

Wolf PAC Hawaii Unanimously Takes House Of Representatives

Republicans To The Rescue For Free & Fair Elections

Things just seem to keep accelerating the more passages we get every time we get notified there's a Flood of new volunteers.  The Wolf-pac might just be growing by exponents.

To clarify for the perplexed this is the effort to overturn Citizens united.

in the car back from my trip to see Senator Burdick my driver told me that the traditional press doesn't publicize on our activities and I was like "Wut?"

and he was like "think about it..."

and I was like "elaborate..."

"the mainstreem media is the biggest benefactor. Who you think is getting all of the ad money?that you're trying to clean up? you get a big check from a billionaire what do you do you do with  first thing? You go and spend it buying ads on Fox news CNN and msnbc, abc, the bunch of them, that's why when they report on campaign spending they don't report on  it disgusted they act like it's a good thing."

I didn't know if I agreed with his portrayal of the media as celebrating the campaign spending but it did give me food for thought.

We just got one step closer to returning the power to the people and voice to the voiceless and  THE WOLF-PAC amend the constitution and GET MONEY OUT OF POLITICS and declare that MONEY IS NOT SPEECH and CORPORATIONS are NOT people.  We just put State number 4 on the Map, that state being New Jersey. One step closer to giving hope back to those who have lost hope, to or turning cynics back into idealist and restoring Lost hope.  4 down 30 to go. ROAAAAAARRR!!! stand tall and shake the heavens because we're coming for them and storming the gates of hell! Another bell going off (modified rhetoric because of giffords!) has been heard all around the country.

SCR 132 Final Vote in New Jersey

They're in an Attack Tonight  As we speak on Oregon state's Senate majority leader with 40 calls into her.

I just thought you should know. After all you're a place I call home.

We named it Wolf-PAC, because we're COMING for EM.

A quick search suggests

That this is not an off-label use of the medication (at least where abortion is legal), so it's not as ill-advised as it might appear at first blush

Party discipline broke down or something on this and there were at least a Few Republicans who voted Aye in spite of the need for 60 votes. it was 50-49 and failed to  past but

Sens. Lamar Alexander (R-TN), Kelly Ayotte (R-NH), Susan Collins (R-ME), Mark Kirk (R-IL), and Lindsey Graham (R-SC).

All voted "aye"

"Fortunately, the effort to get every Senator on the record about their stance on human-caused climate change was not all for naught. Shortly after the vote on Whitehouse’s resolution, the Senate also took up an amendment from Sen. Brian Schatz (D-HI), which stated that climate change is real and that humans contribute to it. That amendment failed, however, following a short speech from Sen. Lisa Murkoswki (R-AK) saying that the amendment’s inclusion of the word “significantly” — as in, humans “significantly” contribute to global warming — should warrant a “no” vote. Schatz’s amendment failed 50-49 (it needed 60 votes to pass), but it does mean that a slim majority of the U.S. Senate acknowledges that climate science is a real and valid thing.
Among the votes against Schatz’ amendment acknowledging that climate change is real were Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) and Sen. Rob Portman (R-OH). Republicans who voted to say that climate change is real and significantly caused by humans included Sens. Lamar Alexander (R-TN), Kelly Ayotte"

So today I called the Republicans who had the Courage to break rank and Vote with us and Thanked them, reached out with an olive branch. Every single one said thank you for your message. Lemar's said he'd appreciate that greatly.

Almost all of their staffers seemed relieved to get a positive phone call. I imagine their officers were probably being bombarded with negativity, seems it was well timed. We should be encouraging this stuff when it happens at the very least, I mean Climate Change should not be a Partisan issue.
Why is it? I realize some of you probably have too weak of a stomach or a lot of pride and would rather choke but I have none when it comes to climate change, get it DONE Get our CO2 emissions down come hell or high water.

if you want to do as I did BTW:

Lindsey Graham:  (202) 224-5972
Lemar Alexander: (202) 224-4944
Mark Kirk: (202)-224-2854
Susan Collins: (202) 224-2523
Kelly Ayotte:  (202)-224-3324

It's time to move onto The Democrats Though on this. Haha. Gotta Thank Them for their Bravery and intelligence on this too.

Most people are thinking about the situation on Main street? correct?

http://wallstcheatsheet.com/...

For decades, many financial experts championed the idea that equities are hands-down the best place an investor could put their money. After all, stocks have historically offered the highest long-run returns, and the proliferation of mutual funds and retirement vehicles grounded in the markets has familiarized the American public to the idea of owning equity.

But new data from Pew Research suggests that more than half (53 percent) of Americans have absolutely no money in the stock market, including retirement accounts. This reality is often overlooked when people make judgements about the relative health of the economy and what that means for Main Street. The recent stock market highs have not been affecting everybody.

http://www.pewresearch.org/...

the MAJORITY of americans are NOT invested in the stock market.

Fellow hyperpartisans, good news.

by daeros

you want to know something funny? Right now Republcians entire economic argument for RedState supremacy depends almost entirely on the Shale oil boom in TX, ND, UT, ID, WY... Look at this.... an omen that the Spine of the republican parties belief that they are more knowledgable about economics and such is about to have it's spine finally ripped straight out of it's chest  This will bring Republicans to their knees. Finally. They underestimate just how badly us Bold Progressives have grown tired of them

http://www.businessweek.com/...

Do you see what that is? that's The power of market Disclipine potentially bringing th Republican party to it's knees That is the entire spine of their party.

Without the Shael boom They can look forward to fading into ...well..

complete non existance. There  won't be anything left.
