this weekend.
It could be all for a good cause, i.e. demanding accountability of leadership, eliminating corruption and corporate welfare, improving our healthcare, or offering methodologies for the super rich to better serve the environment and Earth.
But since it is behind closed doors, it is more likely about how average people can best be utilized to serve as their serfs and to bypass the laws and sovereignty of nations.
If you haven't heard about the Occupy Bilderberg protests, it is because the MSM has been keeping us in the dark, just as they do with most any topic that they prefer the public be kept clueless. If you wish to see any significant coverage on this you must go to an "outlaw" website such as Prison Planet and not a mainstream news source such as NBC or CBS. Huffington Post just had a blurb on it.
Some such as George Carlin have questioned whether elections, divisive politics and ideologies have basically been used by the elite to divide and conquer for their gain, and to make us believe we have some control when we have none. A movement for keeping wealth and power for the few, and limiting opportunities for the many is no better represented than the Bilderbergs. The MSM is mum about it while they dumb us down by touting and hyping Bristol Palin's new reality show.
Keeping the peoples of the world uninformed and in the dark has a way of containing opposition. Mega elites (political, financial, corporate) meet in secrecy to maintain an advantage not to create egalitarianism. Cockroaches and illicit activity typically thrive in the dark. We need to better understand and monitor the agenda of this group. The MSM has been much more open disenfranchising those who claimed long ago the existence of such a group, by calling them whacky conspiracist NWO theorists.
When major power brokers such as the Bilderbergs and the Central Bankers (Federal Reserve in USA) are enabled by authority to operate under a cloak of secrecy, the outcome never benefits the greater good, just as it would not serve democracy or the public if school boards and city councils could operate in secrecy.
America went from being a prosperous strong manufacturing nation with rising middle class incomes and where many other countries were indebted to us as in the 1950s, to what we have become today. Today we have non-producing bankers and often crooked financiers that have hijacked much of the economic wealth. They not only pull the strings of our government for policy, but also to keep the thieves from being prosecuted. My sense is that the Bilderbergs have played a big role in creating the USA that we are today.
Democracy demands sunlight and openness.
