I came up with this political cartoon the other day, after reading Markos’ incisive comment about Obama seeking this elusive thing called bipartisanship the way Ahab sought his white whale.
However I thought a Star Trek theme would be much more fun, and I couldn’t pass up the delicious possibilities involved with the color schemes in the crew attire from the original show....
A few more original political cartoons below the fold.
Wow. Just had a really weird experience.
Due to the significance of the 2008 US election and its potential impact for the other nations of this world, the BBC chose to run the full length of the recent Vice-Presidential Debate here in the UK.
Lemme ask you something.
Is this what you people saw.......?
That’s a screen-shot straight off my telly. Please join me over the flip to help me make sense of this.
The primary wars are in full flame, so I decided to post a few of my recent political cartoons which bring the focus back on the real enemy. Most of these haven't yet been published here at DailyKos.

I’m guessing that even Tom Stoppard couldn’t have come up with fictional characters as dislimned from reality as the corporeal creatures who inhabit the uppermost regions of our government.
This "political cartoon" is actually an optical illusion I created, based on an old optical trick that some of you may have seen before. The primary image is the Twin Towers in black silhouette, during the attacks six years go today, on September 11th, 2001.
But in the sky over the towers is a spectre that forms in the mind as an "after-image" when you stare at it.
To do the optical illusion, look at the top middle of the image -- in the weird shapes and symbols are two black "hearts" -- look at the four tiny black dots that run in a line between the hearts. Stare at the dots, very close, only about 6 inches from your screen. Keep your focus on the dots for 30 seconds. Then, look away from the monitor at a bright blank wall. Blink a few times and you will see the spectre that George W. Bush sees in the events of September 11th.

I'd been holding back on posting this latest political cartoon of mine, because I know somebody somewhere will feel that the imagery is too controversial.
But we have to go full ammo against these fucknuts. And it’s not like he didn’t open the door for it; I’m only using his own words against him.

So, what's Nancy's response....? You be the Decider.

Hey y’all, listen up. All you artists and political cartoonists and poets and photographers and short-fiction writers now have less than one week (yikes !) to send in your submissions for the very first Artists’ "Chap-Book" which is being compiled, as we speak, by our esteemed colleague cosmic debris.
The deadline for submissions is June 15th, folks !
.....More cartoons on the flip-side, Baby !
I’d hope that my art-work speaks for itself, but if you're interested in getting the facts, you can start with L C Johnson’s diary here.
