Dear Senators Murray and Cantwell,
I am writing to speak to you about your status as a superdelegate to the 2008 Democratic National Convention. I know that you have endorsed Senator Hillary Clinton in the race for the Democratic presidential nomination, thus signaling your intention to cast your vote for her at the Democratic convention. I support you decision to endorse your colleague and campaign for her, but I strongly urge you to support Barack Obama at the nominating convention.
With record-setting turnout, the people of Washington State overwhelmingly voiced their preference for Obama in their precinct caucuses. I have been a volunteer for the Democratic Party for over eight years, and I have never witnessed the excitement and the passion for a candidate that I did on that Saturday afternoon. I urge you to listen to the voice of the people who elected you to be their representative in Congress, and support Obama as well.
In 2008, the Democratic Party will need the energy and the dedication of the Obama supporters to help win tough races for Gov. Gregoire and Darcy Burner. Please listen to the voice of the voters of Washington State and vote for Obama.
Sincerely, etc.
