A new poll produced by the Hays Research Group has both Don Young (R) and Diane Benson (D) increasing their share of the potential votes, but Benson is gaining on Young, jumping up by 7% while Young only gained 5%. The Benson campaign just released the results via e-mail.
The poll was commissioned by the president of the company, and wasn't conducted on behalf of any candidate or political group, according to the press release. The magic question: "If the election for US Congress were held today, who would you vote for?" It was conducted on Nov. 1 and 2, and sampled 400 voters, as did the previous poll.
