To Mikestands.

by ezdidit

This will be short, because so much has already been written about Gov. Scott Walker and his distortion of economic conditions in his state. This is about fraudulent misrepresentation and chicanery at the highest level of WI government.

David Cay Johnston has also issued a warning to reporters and news commentators: They are perpetrating a fraud on the people of the United States!

Their lack of skepticism and their blithe distortion of the facts as reflected by Governor Scott Walker (R-WI) - without challenge or clarification - is only exceeded by my outrageous accusations.

In fact, Johnston asserts, "Out of every dollar that funds Wisconsin's pension and health insurance plans for state workers, 100 cents comes from the state workers."

There is an extraordinary upset coming in the midterms. But the traditional media is dead wrong in all their assertions about Republican success.

Democrats are actually winning in all the key demographics: 18 to 29 year olds in 2008 - who are now 18 to 30 year olds in 2010 - overwhelmingly voted for Democrats in 2008.

African-Americans, empowered in 2008 by an African-American President, are not "exhausted" at all. They are energized by their influence in exposing insidious racism via the same old Southern strategy of the Republican Party for two straight years.

But there are far more reasons why every Democratic vote counts, and why Democrats are ridiculously underreported in all the published polls.

Start a Revolution: A Call To Action!

by ezdidit

Here's something we all can do:

I think that the wealthy, electeds and elites truly believe that we citizens are stupid and uninformed about their specific means, motives and opportunities.

Three Times Is Enemy Action is a Daily Kos front page story that Mark Sumner posted on September 21, 2008, to little fanfare. Please read it.

In an astounding review of the causes of our current economic decline, Mark (formerly known by the kos uid 'devilstower') enumerated the specific Congressional legislation that has now put over thirty million people in the U.S. out of work and catalyzed the transfer of trillions of dollars of U.S. sovereign debt (our taxes and our future taxes to-be-paid) into the hands of the already egregiously wealthy few here and abroad.

We must let them know we are well-informed about their fraud!

In the first skirmish of what will be a definitive model for insurgent 2010 Democrats, Elaine Marshall, Secretary of State of North Carolina easily won the hearts and minds of North Carolina voters.

Here's what the Independent Weekly of Durham had to say:

STUPAK goes up in smoke !!!

by ezdidit

For far too long, Bart Stupak (D-Menominee, MI) has been lying - lying about his association with C Street, and lying about Senate health insurance reform legislation coming out of the Senate.

It's time to blow the lid off this cheap schemer and send him and those he misdirects straight to hell with three paragraphs sourced below.

Why does he do this? Cheap-ass politics, and lies are the easiest way to crawl into the Republican fold among the rural working class and the uninformed.

This man is a dangerous charlatan, a liar who has been refuted over and over as a LIAR! He should be primaried. We need to see him expelled!

This is President Obama's PATCO...

by ezdidit

...and he's made his position abundantly clear: He absolutely supports a capitalist for-profit model of corporate governance in banking and insurance, and he insists upon smaller government.

President Obama will not preside over creative destruction of a huge corporate insurance marketplace and simultaneously create the world's largest new government entitlement.

This front-page story, from mcjoan, was up for twenty minutes this morning, and she is absolutely correct in her conclusions.

I offer my humble theories and explanations below only in order to prompt you to CALL YOUR ELECTEDs!

We must keep up the pressure on our democratically elected representatives.

It has taken me a lifetime to learn the simple lesson that "the system" is relentlessly gamed by powerful D.C. elitists on both sides of the aisle comprised of lawyers and corporate lobbyists, opinion leaders/pundits - established forces that gain everything from control of the message, the status quo and all the initiatives in foreign and domestic affairs that flow from such control.

ELECTIONS count, however, and elections will ultimately control everything if the Democratic party succeeds. I did my part in 2007-2008. I carry voter registration forms with me wherever I go. And during the last election cycle, I registered nearly 1,000 new Democratic voters.

Can we register new Democratic voters for 2010?

For America, Inc., health insurance no longer makes any sense at all!

For-profit health insurance companies - like all publicly-traded common stock ownership corporations and private companies - have only one strategic goal:

enhanced shareholder value.

...i.e., profit and higher prices for common stock.
That goal informs all company decisions which are most commonly achieved through raw cost-benefit analysis. Of course, strict adherence to local, state and federal laws - and potential high dollar fines - are considered, too. But, mainly, when legal representation and settlement costs are exceeded by major profits, ethical considerations always go right out the window. Even the costs of continuing salaries for lower echelon managers and support for their families during incarceration come into the equation - just like the mob, they protect big earners.
To be entirely realistic, this is where corporate 'philosophy' is today. See the startling numbers for proof of health care value - and in this case, cost-benfit analysis reveals that no laws will be broken either above ..or below the fold.

The silence is deafening.

by ezdidit

President-Elect Barack Obama said that immediately upon becoming president - if he were elected - he would have his attorney general investigate whether alleged war crimes were "just stupid policies or very serious and egregious crimes."

Glenn Greenwald (with Bill Moyers last night) has urged the establishment of a commission with unlimited (or absolute?) subpoena power, along the lines of a 9/11 truth commission but capable of enforcement with the conclusions of its findings.

I have tried to raise this question with Mr.Greenwald, but to no avail: Is the Hague International Criminal Court not the proper venue for the discovery of international terrorism or international war crimes perpetrated by States?
