Maggie's Farm, a site I know nothing about, has a post up in which they make the claim that Al Gore claimed that he lied in the film. Their evidence? This quote (from this interview):
"Given that starting point, I believe it is appropriate to have an over-representation of factual presentations on how dangerous it is, as a predicate for opening up the audience to listen to what the solutions are, and how hopeful it is that we are going to solve this crisis."
Somehow, "over-representation of facts" becomes lying. From the sentence itself (not to mention the remainder of the interview), it is clear that Gore is merely stating that over-emphasizing the reality of the situation is in his view necessary to attract attention to the problem.
Not that this will stop the "Gore lied" reports from sweeping the media.
