...thanks to Obama's total failure in last week's Presidential debate, and from what I have seen from the Obama campaign since then, it doesn't look as if he will recover. Obama is losing ground or just plain losing in virtually all the latest national polls, and his leads are disappearing in many of the swing states.
There's no on to blame for this but Obama. It doesn't make much sense to keep listing and relisting Romney's lies, misstatements, bad judgment calls, or general unsuitability for high office, because the voters only seem to care that he wiped the floor with Obama.
What can be done about this? I don't see Joe Biden, competent as he is, rescuing the ticket in this week's debate. What might work is an all-out offensive with whatever advertising dollars are left, with very very strong, unsophisticated ads tearing Romney apart. Instead of just replaying Romney's ""47 percent" presentation, show excerpts with really strong script underneath, saying, "If you're not rich, Romney thinks you are crap." Well, I wouldn't use the word crap, but the time for pussyfooting around with Romney is over.
And if Obama doesn't slaughter Romney next week in the second debate, it's over.
