At this point, it's hard to believe that the eternal soap opera we generously call an election is approaching closure. This nation, indeed the entire world, is beyond ready for change. It has become imperative. Are you registered to vote? Are you sure???
This election has resembled a high school atmosphere. Not my actual high school, but a stereotypical movie high school. McCain represents the school bullies (the rich kids). Obama represents the other students (he's part nerd, part popular, and part minority). The nation's media has failed us (not my actual media, but the mainstream media that most rely on). This is the most important election this nation may ever have. And it may be stolen once again. But you have to expect all types when the winner rules the world.
We are at a distinct crossroads in our history. People on both sides of the political spectrum believe that if the other side wins, it will be the end of America as we know it, perhaps even the world. That is pretty profound. I'm not sure how we can bridge that divide. It's almost as if we're being used in an intricate game of divide and conquer. Weird show, huh?
