Yes, he's my Brother...not biologically, but the "brotherhood" of black men born in the 40's in the deep south of America. We are the fruit of the tree of affirmative action .
We brothers come from the same southern womb, our life stories are interwoven, our achievments and failures have been well doucumented, our paths, while divergent, have been mostly succesesful, as the vast majority of us have gotten to our 6th decade in pretty good shape. So much so, we're either into or contemplating our next move in a life our forebearers couldn't have dreamed of.
While some of my Brothers are digging in at their chosen craft, others have found themselves in a position sit back and do little, while some of the more energetic are busy reinventing themselves and finding a second life.
That's why I'm writing my brother Clarence with some brotherly suggestions.
