I will never post, read or visit this site again. Not that I don't agree with the majority of the opinions expressed on this site. I find the people who frequent this site to be the biggest arrogant, high and mighty assholes I have ever known. You are all a bunch of pussies and I'm going to start voting Republican just to spite you.

Today I went to sign up for Obamacare since today was supposed to be the deadline. I had to do it through a certain clinic since I receive a certain medication from them which was being covered under my previous plan so it was very important that I chose a plan that covered this medication. I am currently a full time student over 30 years old who works part and gets student loans. According to the US government for the money I make and what I am worth I qualified me for medicare/medical. My problem is this. I don't want medicare/medical/ I want to be able to choose a plan, get a subsidy and pay a monthly fee just like everyone else but because I qualify for medicare/cal I don't get the choice of medicare/cal or a regular plan. I really think that is wrong. If I want to pick a plan that I actually pay for and I get better coverage then I should have that right instead of being stuck medicare/cal where I will no doubt have less coverage, less treatment options and where I will be treated like a second class citizen (unfortunately).

Not sure exactly why this is but a week ago I checked what my options would be for what I make under the Affordable Care Act. I live in California so The ACA is being run through a state program called "Covered California". Last week when I first looked into it I found out I was eligible for The Enhanced Silver 87 from Anthem at the cost of $85, Blue Shield at $90 a month and Kaiser at $105 a month. Tonight I just checked again and now it's $65, $66 and $75 respectively. Anyone know why that might be? Not that I'm complaining or anything.

and is indeed a asshole with a small penis who feels the need to solve every argument he gets in with a handgun. Apparently he assaulted his father-in-law and then threatened both him and his soon-to-be ex-wife with a gun. Unfortunately they both ended up not pressing charges. It's been a busy couple weeks for old George. First he was given two speeding tickets and was then seen photographed with an employee of the Kel-Tec gun manufacturing company. Not a real brilliant PR move. That would be like Casey Anthony  visiting a Chloroform company

Savage Nation's "Gay" Theme Song

by jonpid74

I was in a taxi cab last night and the driver was listening to Michael Savage on the radio and he was going on about some usual BS conspiracy or god knows what else. So anyway they go to commercial and I when the show comes back on I realize the song that he plays when he cuts to commercial as well as comes back is a Judas Priest song (I can't remember which one). I started to laugh and the driver asked me what was so funny. I told him that Michael Savage is using a Judas Priest song and their lead singer Rob Halford is a well known openly gay man. The taxi cab driver didn't like that one bit. I wonder how Rob Halford would feel knowing Michael Savage is using his song on his show?

I Miss You Adam Yauch

by jonpid74

I was watching some old Beastie Boys videos on You Tube today and I just couldn't help but crying. I loved them so much. I swear I felt more loss when I heard he died than when I heard my own father had dies. At least Adam had given me more joy. Not only was he an incredibly talented musician he also had a conscience and he used his platform as an artist to tirelessly to help people around the world. I bet the vast majority of the people who know what's going on in Tibet and all of the terrible things that are being done is because of Adam Yauch. He was Jewish but practiced Buddhism very seriously. Everyone thought until the very end that he would pull through because he was just so positive. The world just doesn't seem like the same place without him. I remember when Adam, Adam and Mike all came out and publicly apologized for their misogynistic attitudes when they were younger. How many other bands have you ever seen to that? They were cooler than any other rap act and they didn't have to rap about violence or calling women hoes to be cool. They were a class act all the way.  The Beastie Boys were hip hop. They were rock n roll. They were music for all and not just one people.

Going Back To School

by jonpid74

Well after almost 11 years away from being in a classroom I will finally be going back to school this fall. I started college back in 2000-02 but after a couple of semesters I started playing in bands and when I finally played live that was it. I was hooked. Everything else in my life got the volume turned down and I forgot all about school. Fast forward 11 years and as you might have guessed my dreams of rock n roll stardom didn't materialize. Actually I never thought I'd be rich or famous. I just wanted to put off becoming an adult for a while longer. In that aspect I was a stunning success. I'm getting older now though and I have to start honestly thinking about a real future and some security. As I have been applying and registering with different schools one thing has become glaringly obvious. The people who work in the student finance departments are the biggest assholes. I have dealt with a few different colleges and the admissions departments are all nice, friendly and ready to answer any question but the student finance people all act rude, impatient, they constantly give conflicting and wrong information and to top it all off they act like they are doing me a favor. I'm not expecting to have my ass kissed and my d!ck sucked but for 45k you would think they could treat people with a little more respect. I seriously hope Sen. Elizabeth Warren someday sticks it to them.

Let's face it if the government really wanted to do something about illegal immigration all they would have to do would be to go after and crack down on the businesses that hire them. If there are no more jobs then there will be no reason for them to come and stay here...but then they would have to hire Americans to do all of those jobs that Americans don't want to do. They would have to pay them a decent wage and give them insurance and then they would have to charge more for goods and services and then all those Tea Party people would be crying about that. Such as it is with immigrants that they gladly use but then complain about I would like to see the Tea Party get it's way completely for one week. Every "illegal immigrant" deported immediately. They are so far removed from the way things actually work they don't realize just how devastating that would be to the economy. There was a movie about that very subject a few years ago
A Day Without a Mexican.
While we are at it we will stop all Medicare and Social Security payments that are just so wasteful and unsustainable. You know we have to lower that debt so the future generations don't get stuck paying for a huge debt. Yeah as we would see any more money from the government if we didn't have this debt. So give them what they want for a week and I'll be watching safely from Communist/Socialist San Francisco where THE party is currently underway .
