Godless Homosexual Abortionists are not the face of the Democratic Party
The Democratic Party has always been a big tent of diverse people and causes. Like America itself, which has been described more like a salad bowl than a mixing bowl, the strength of the Democratic Party is diversity. There are some deeply committed to legalizing gay marriage. Some are passionate about protecting abortion rights and doctor patient privacy. Atheists, agnostics, ex-Catholics and self proclaimed enlightened intellectuals all find refuge within the Democratic Party. But none of these groups define the Party and none of these issues should be planks in the Democratic platform. Homosexuality, abortion and atheism are highly controversial issues without consensus, agreement, or unity within the Democratic Party. Promoting pro-gay, pro-abortion and anti-God agendas are offensive, and detrimental to Democratic electoral victory. While tolerated, many of these positions are offensive to the historical base of the Democratic Party.
