Mona Charen blogging at NRO Corner reports that an informal survey found that liberal websites contain 18 times as many of George Carlin's 7 dirty words as right-wing sites. She draws the conclusion that:
...the explosion of vulgarity, cruelty, and viciousness that the Web is mostly a phenomenon of the left.
Which is, of course, a total fucking non-sequiter. You only have to visit a few of the most popular wingnut sites to find plenty of hateful speech, racism, and war-mongering couched in family-safe language.
Jumping to this conclusion, Charen just totally ignores the Grand Canyon-sized cultural divide between the right and the left. The right, to a large extent, has no problems with violence on TV, in the movies, and even in real-life (as long as it's committed against non-white, non-Christians) but slip a nip at half-time and it's a sign of the end of the world.
