A while back, Buhdy wrote, Media War: The Power Of The Press...is Profit!. However, upon further analysis, I tend towards disagreement. Although profit could be seen as the major driving factor in what we read see and hear in the MSM, profit is not the real agenda for the press. Profit is only an additional side benefit. The real power of the press is a Pravda style mind control. One that creates and shapes "realities" in order for the usurpers to continue with their agenda.
This will be the last time I will write about this particular subject. My reasoning is thus: every time I write about the MSM, the implicating evidence is quickly scrubbed from the Internet. As you will see, most of the evidence has already been scrubbed . But their work is not as thorough and complete as they think it is. And I am not as dumb as I sometimes sound.
School has begun for children across the nation and my children were no exception. I recently read something from my son's history book, and I thought I might share it here.
Rep. John Conyers, chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, appeared Sunday on This Week with George Stephanopoulos He predicted more cooperation from the White House as the calls for impeachment grow. Rawstory has the story and video.
Conyers emphasized that his committee is continuing to negotiate with the White House, and told Stephanopoulos, "We're hoping that as the cries for Cheney and Bush now reach 46% and 58%, respectively, for impeachment, that we could begin to become a little bit more cooperative, if not even amicable in trying to get to the truth of these matters."
Whereas the granting of the convicted obstructionist, I. Lewis Libby, a commutation of his 30 month prison sentence, the selected, non-elected, Decider-in-chief again shows his contempt for the rule of law and has taken matters into his own hands. Whereby depending upon who you are and who you know, he has created his own double standard for the rule of law: one where he can decide if "excessive" punishment was sentenced or one where there is no such thing as excessive punishment.
Whatever the case, it is now exceedingly clear, or at least it should be, that this government no longer abides by the rules and the rule of law. It must be reminded of the core principals upon which it was founded: it's power to govern is granted by we the people and not by the endowment of gifts and riches from non-human entities known as corporations.
Many questions arise about the surge. Is the new strategy working? How long will it take to work? Will it stabilize Iraq enough so we can withdrawl? How many extra troops are there? How many more will Bush send?
Amongst all these questions, a few things are clear. The violence and deaths have not abated. The number of US troops deployed in Iraq are increasing, not decreasing as promised. (i.e. We'll stand down as they stand up.) And the rhethoric against Iran is getting more dangerous.
But what of the troops? Where are they going and why do they need more?
I predicted a Veto over a month ago and I am sticking by my belief that this requested money is to start the next phase of the neocon plan. Iran is in the crosshairs and this administration is running out of time.
The Battle for Iran's Peace begins right here.
Do not change the meaning of this bill. It is true, the troops are funded at least through June, so there is no hurry. Place an audit trail on that money and pull out the contractors. That's the big issue they aren't talking about. They want that money 'no strings attached' to start that other campaign.
As we all know, for the most part the corporate news media still gives Bush a free pass and they do not villianized him like he deserves. BradBlog recently cited a report by Eric Boehlert from Media Matters that documents this failure.
This failure of the press to fairly cover the most egregious violations of the law leds me to ask, "Even though there is compelling evidence of war crimes and the perpetrators are still in office, why does a double standard still exist and why does the Mainstream News Media (MSM) consistently miss the mark on the biggest stories? Doesn't this behavior make these news organizations complicit with war crimes?
For a closer look on how some of the top stories are generated, follow me on the flip.
Bush will veto the Iraq emergency funding bill even though it would seem to be in his better interest to just approve it with a signing statement, something else must be at work here. The accumulated evidence points to what may be influencing this stance.

I want to thank everyone here one last time while I still have an opportunity to do so. My family and I are deeply appreciative to those who helped buy us time while I continued my desperate search for gainful employ. However, Michigan's economy is bleeding and I am sad to report that my efforts have failed. What is more unsettling is that Michigan is an economic harbinger, usually running six months to a year ahead of the the rest of the nation.
My intent of this diary is to capture my overall beliefs in a clear, concise, and straight forward manner. For what it is worth, whatever may or may not happen with regards to my personal situation, I want this diary to stand as a comprehensive record of my beliefs and that readers may use it to reflect, verify, and consider their own belifs. So with that being said, I am happy for having had the opportunity to express my opinions and record most of my concerns about what I truly believe is taking place in America and the world today.
The document dump in the firing of eight US Attorneys has lanced a boil that we know as the DoJ, which has infected this nation with lawlessness and disdain for rules by committing illegal acts that inconveniently get in the way their agenda to further their power.
GOP money laundering through shell corporations is fairly well documented by bloggers and the blogosphere. But what should be an earth shattering story of fraud, corruption, and questionable meetings and poker parties at the Watergate Hotel, has received absolutely no coverage in the Main Stream Media.
Murtha and Levin are complicit with the war crimes. Sunday on Meet the Press, Murtha (via Raw Story)is quoted as saying,
US Representative John Murtha, one of the leading advocates in Congress for pulling US troops from Iraq quickly, said that Democrats have concluded that ending the war is not as easy as cutting off funding.
"We don't have the votes to do it," he told US television Sunday.
My rant is below the fold.
