You deserve it, for that post. And I'm being kind to you, because that's one of the most morally filthy posts I've seen here.

    •  Umm we already have a "weasel" (2+ / 0-)

and he lives up to his name admirably - we don't need another.

    •  That's a disgusting response to a comment that (3+ / 0-)

is merely a description and comparison of violence.
And yes, violence can be compared, as in "people died", "people did not die".

And when comparing the actions of a government's violence against individuals to actions of individuals against government actions, the comparison is stark and highly relevant.

If that comment is one of the more morally filthy posts you've seen here, your supposed moral rectitude needs adjusting.

In terms of watching out for unconstructive posters on this site, you certainly have my attention.

    •  You do understand that this is a simple HRable (1+ / 0-)
      Recommended by:

insult - and so does volley and the rest of you lot, although it's amazing that his interest in consistency somehow didn't get this far (OK, not particularly amazing).

      •  It's not an insult if it's true. (4+ / 0-)

        •  The intent clearly was to insult, and you are (0+ / 0-)

engaging (once again) in sophistry that would put a Jesuit to shame.

(Actually, I'm not sure it would - the average Jesuit of my aquaintance would be fairly impressed.  Although disappointed by the moral aspect of Jonathan's comment as well as yours.)

JonathanInTelAviv wrote a comment that is clearly HRable per the FAQ.  And those of you who uprated it are also in violation of DKos policy.  Nothing you or he or anyone else in your special little group of friends can say changes that.

What part of this is a mystery to you volley?

Any and all insults are HRable. Although users are never required to uprate any comment, it is considered a violation of site policy to uprate a comment with an insult in it.

          Or this?

To repeat what I have often said, the key is that insults of all types are HRable. It doesn't mean that they HAVE to be HRed. Totally voluntary. Somebody who insults someone else and gets HRed for it shouldn't expect any relief form me. But users are warned when they UPRATE insults - because this encourages insulters to repeat their behavior.

I guess that you're just being completely hypocritical most of the time along with the other members of your group.  I really had thought that you at least had a bit more of a grasp on the greater external reality.  Apparently not.

          •  Well then Peter you better get your (6+ / 0-)

donuts ready then for insults on us from your team. Can I count on you to HR both sides on a regular basis? I might  take what you say seriously IF you actually practiced what you preach. But you don't. However, the next time I see someone lie about me (saying I support the Occupation - which is an insult) or calls me or anyone who is Pro-Israel a racist for supporting the existence of the counry, I will give you the benefit of the doubt and know that you will HR them. I mean lying about someone supporting oppression or calling them a racist when they are not is a far worse offense then calling someone a "weasel".

We can agree on that, can't we Peter?

            •  I won't accept any suggestion of bias (0+ / 0-)

from you until you HR Jonathan's obvious insult.  And since you are clearly not inclined to do that, I cannot treat your claims to fair-mindedness as anything other than window dressing.

Do you guys seriously feel that there is no difference morally or practically between a firebomb attack on a building that didn't kill or hurt anyone, and for that matter didn't damage any property; and a terrorist attack that killed multiple Israelis, and resulted in retaliatory attacks that killed many Palestinians and Egyptians, including at least one child?

Talk about reprehensible - I think that pretty well defines it.  I could justifiably say a good deal worse and claim that it's the simple truth - but I will once again limit myself to saying that I have again had my total lack of respect for your integrity - moral, intellectual, and otherwise - resoundingly confirmed.
