  •  Central Misery Cheers and Jeers (30+ / 0-)

Jeers to the fact I "overslept" this morning by 30 minutes which meant I caught some of the beginning of the big thunderstorms that are blowing thru here.

Cheers that despite the lightning and thunder, I didn't get rained on to the point of being drenched.

Jeers to finding a tick attached to me this morning.  That's from gardening in the flower/shrub beds at the Dauphine yesterday.

Cheers to having DirectTV since their added channels for Masters coverage is a godsend for Masters crack addicts like me.

    Cheers to stretching kittehs:

Last evening I picked up Catterina from out back and deposited her in her bed.  She moved just enough to stretch out like this.  She's had a slow spring.  Of course Mom keeps saying "there's something wrong with her" but Mom has been saying that about our cats for a decade and she's right about 25% of the time.  Catty drinks a lot of water and sits around a bunch but at 12 (we got her 10 years ago and estimated she was 2 at the time) we expect her to slow down.  Last year we had blood work done on her and yeah, she's got some early signs of kidney problems so who knows.  She seems happy enough in that bizzaro torbie way which means she looks less perturbed than usual.

Over here in far, far northern MA, my housemate found one the other day!  It's a bit early in the season for the little blighters, and it's been so cold this year....we are a bit concerned.

Scritchies and purrs to Catterina.  My old boy, HisLordshipOfSnooze ( guess what he's doing now? )  is  a diabetic, so I'm familiar with the issues.  Wet catfood seems to be a good idea for many older cats.  This old bugger is on the expensive stuff from the vet, but I've heard that Fancy Feast is a good alternative.  ymmv.

Happy in that bizzaro torbie way.....ain't it da truth!
