The Big Problem of stimulus is the privatization factor. We saw the problem with the military during the Bush-Cheney reign of terror and to deny or fail to see that problem in any other light is to doom ourselves to failure.

The social welfare programs of the 1930s did not dole out government dollars to private businesses. Any successful efforts to put Americans to work, to rebuild our manufacturing base, to build a future for this country, such efforts must follow that same path.

        I knew this was coming.

My statement was off, though my intention was to criticize the dependence today on government money to private corporations as the only effort to employ Americans. I believe the government should directly employ citizens for infrastructure and other projects, and I was lazy in making a blanket statement.

Thanks again for providing the facts.
