      But, he can get Reid and Boehner into a spitball fight over when to adjourn for August.

      And then the President can resolve the dispute by adjourning Congress until such time as he deems appropriate. Such as, December 2012 in time for the next meeting of the Electoral College.

      But that won't happen, nor should it, because it would be the action of a dictator and would be rightly reviled by everyone.

      We have a dysfunctional legislature, but then again so did the 1st Century BC Roman Republic. And look how that worked out.

      OK, bad example. But I'm sure there are better.
