      That's what makes The Rachel Maddow Show attractive, at least to me, her effort to educate her audience.  (Lawrence O'Donnell does that to some extent as well, IMO).

      What's sad is that in light of both Barack Obama and Joseph Biden having been adjunct professors of constitutional law (check the Biden entry in wikipedia), they have largely failed to make use of "the splendid lectern" that Theodore Roosevelt referred to as "the bully lectern."  (Modern Repubs, not to mention the teabagging Christianists don't understand that the word "bully" as used by TR a century or so ago doesn't mean the same thing today).

      Sometimes, the "students" didn't hear the lecture or maybe even missed that particular class, so the lesson has to be repeated several times.  That's one thing that Rachel does (and was criticized for, along with O'Donnell, in some comments a day or so ago to another recent diary) so well, and Obama/Biden often do not even try to do.
