It's tea party zealots burning the place down, but it's Obama's fault.

And honestly, if bankers were really in charge, the debt ceiling would have been raised months ago.

Thank you. Now back to the irrational rants...

as far as the bankers go. Plus, if there's default/downgrade, they get to charge more interest for loans to the government and ultimately to credit card holders, ARM mortgages, etc.

So I'm not so sure that the Tea creeps aren't useful to the bankers.

As far as who is burning the place down, absolutely the Tea Party Zealots.

Until we break the corporate virtual monopoly on what we hear and see, we keep losing, don't matter what we do.

    •  Well..to some extent it IS his fault... (5+ / 0-)

...because if he hadn't sold the store to them last year and allowed them toe extend the Bush tax cuts and not raised the debt ceiling when he had a majority, then the Tea Partiers and GOP wouldn't have nearly half the power they have now.

Of course, the GOTP'ers are now gaming the rules to cause the default they always wanted in the first place.

But, if Prez O would actually grow a spine, drop this Grand Bargain nonsense and on Tuesday invoke Article 14 and mint a couple of #5 trillion coins and tell the TeaKKKluxers to shove it, then he would be forgiven.

Problem is, he wants to cut social spending on his own right so that he can play to the Village Idiots and Wall Street..and the rest of the Democrats be damned.

Hopefully, House progs will see this deal for what it is and shut it down, forcing  Obama to do what he should have done a long time ago. Alas, they've been so used to caving in to his demands that they probably don't know how to say NO for once.
