  •  The Bush Tax cuts are already set to expire (0+ / 0-)

and with devided government there will NOT be enough votes to not let them expire.

Tell me what gives you ANY feeling that Dems would at some future point, decide to do anything that makes sense for the country?? They have not chosen to vote to increase revenues in the past, and they will not in the future, IMO

I used to have hope. Now I just see most Dem's audacity in maintaining the corporate status quo...

    •  So...what youre saying is that (8+ / 0-)

when the 2012 spending resolution comes up for a vote, the GOP will hold the government hostage to a shutdown to secure an extension of the Bush Tax Cuts.

What, based on past and current behavior leads you believe that the Democrats wont accept their demands under such a scenario?

        BBB,
I too have a magnificent grasp of the obvious and concur with, well, the obvious outcome you have stated.

What motivation would dems have to change from their proven track record? They will continue to vote as their (corporate) constituency demands!

I used to have hope. Now I just see most Dem's audacity in maintaining the corporate status quo...
