  •  Too many economic regressives in the Democratic (5+ / 0-)

    party.

    Fact.

    It's costing us.  Big.

Time to clean up the party.  Don't reject it, just clean it up.  The sooner the better.

It is necessary to run economic progressives, 50 states, both parties, targeting those economic regressives, putting them on notice.

Then we do it again, and again.

...or, we continue this slow decline, you know frog boiling slow kind of thing.

    •  The problem is (6+ / 0-)

that you can already see the game plan for Republicans in the States.   New laws to suppress voting among the young and poor.

      •  Either it's futile or it's not (1+ / 0-)

If it is futile, then perhaps the best plan is to align with the regressives, and start getting our share, screw the other guys, just like they do.

On the other hand, if it is possible to clean up the party, then why not start right now, before it does become futile?

Lot of work, but unavoidable work, if we want to actually see progressive legislation.

It's not going to ever happen otherwise.  There is no force in politics with any incentive to do that.  We are it.

NOBODY really wants to talk about that.

IMHO, it's very difficult to then believe that there will be any chance at all of ever seeing progressive legislation.

No amount of manipulation, protest, etc... is going to remedy this.

The amounts of money are simply too large.  We either start to take some power more directly, or deal with the product of not doing that.

What we are seeing right now, in this Presidency, is the product of not doing that.

Howard Dean started with a 50 state progressive strategy.  Notice how he's been shuttled away?  Exactly.

This is on us, if we want resolution.  Who else to do it?
