    I read in the NYTimes this morning that aid groups are not able to get in to provide assistance because it is so dangerous on the ground. In that case, raising money will not help - at least not until that situation is changed. Do you have information about how aid will get in?

      Sorry to shout, but I'm getting really impatient with these stories.

      People are being murdered by Al Qaeda linked jihadists who (1) won't let aid workers in and (2) won't let the starving out, and are rounding them up into camps.

      Money will not help the most vulnerable, but it will help those who escape to Ethiopia and Kenya.

      At this point a few well targeted drone strikes against al Shabaab would be worth tens of millions of dollars of food aid, in terms of actually saving lives.
