That would be a "call-out" first of all, and there are too many of them in any case. We wouldn't be able to get them all.

How about you comment on the actual substance of the diary, instead of trying to deflect?

My apologies for requesting actual sources.  My bad.

I do not believe there is some "creeping racism" occurring on DKOS.

I do believe there is a very common occurrence of people complaining about a vast minority of users doing bad things and using it to make a veiled smear at all of DKOS, usually as a chance to discredit some "other side" in debate they are having.

This diary sounds like the "criticism of Obama = racism genre", using a vast minority of racists to imply there is some sort of problem.  It even smears progressives by implying that is where the racists come from.

Just another way to try to pretend that "there's nothing to see here".

Another way to let people of color know that they're not really welcome here, because if there are racist comments, we have to write down every last one, explain why it's racist, and then by the time we get to the end, find out that you didn't bother to read it because it was "too long".

          Or that you've disappeared.

          Or run with the goalposts.

I've seen the deflections time and time again, and the denials.

It's bullshit, plain and simple. There have been many times we've discussed this, and there is always someone just like you, wanting exact quotes, and comments, and links... only to disappear or deny when we post them.

          BULLSHIT.

        •  I generally think such calls are mostly bogus. (0+ / 0-)

However, I saw the recced "Uncle Tom" remark with my own two eyes earlier tonight, and I'm sure there must be similar ones.

criticism of Obama equals racism. It's unlikely that you will be able to find one. That whine is tired, and it sounds like it comes from Rush LImbaugh.

Meanwhile, if you go look at the hidden comments right now, you'll see at least a half a dozen comments employing racism to "win" a political argument including one meant to be humorous... with castration imagery.

          "barry"a legitimate criticism? Wow

If you are a legetimate critic of the president you should unequivocally denounce this crap.

Progressivism is antithetical to racism and if anyone who claims to be progressive condones this that person is a fake period.
