providers, they are insuring that a lot of doctors will no longer accept Medicare.  It has been happening in my area for quite some time, (Wilmington, NC), but now the real rush to leave Medicare will begin.  This is just a back-door way to kill Medicare.  The Ryan Plan did not get through.  This is just as insidious.

      Nobody wants new Medicare patients.

What's going to happen as the population ages and access to Medicare is expanded under HCR?

taking any Medicare 4 years ago.  She charges me a very reasonable amount.  It still is something more than I would pay a Medicare provider, if I could find one in my area.  She is not the only one.  My opthalmologist retired several years ago and his partners are no longer taking Medicare, either.  It  makes no sense to me since most of their patients were the elderly.  They charge 150 bucks a visit in advance.  As a result,  I am absolutely cut out of the loop.
