  •  The Term "move on" (11+ / 0-)

It is generally used for one of two reasons:

A:  The person insisting that past actions not be examined and wants to "move on" has done something illegal, immoral or both. Moving on without examining those actions allows them to cover up their actions.

B: The person who wants to "move on" without examining past actions wants to repeat their behavior. If we don't "move on" regulations or laws might be passed to stop them.

By moving on without reflection we insure that in 15 years this will all repeat and it will be treated as something new and unexpected.  (remember the savings and loans?)

Should change its name?  The original name of the campaign was "Censure and Move On", in the wake of the Monica Lewinsky affair (!); it was only after that that it turned into an ongoing organization.

The '60s were simply an attempt to get the 21st Century started early....Well, what are we waiting for? There's no deadline on a dream!

Since the government spent millions on finding out everything about Monica Lewinsky and dissecting it into huge reports we can probably Move On from that.

I doubt that Murdock could have uncovered more.
