  •  Dropping 7% since Jun 5 is 'staying steady'? (5+ / 0-)

I'm not sure they know the meaning of the word 'steady'.

    •  they are out in front of (0+ / 0-)

general support by their usual amount.  They have not especially, or more than the general public, changed.

I was looking over the last few weeks, the timing of the debate over the debt ceiling and not the last two months. Go back to 2008 (pointless, but you could do so) for a bigger change.

      •  I am not sure that is the metric that (0+ / 0-)

should be used when stating whether a specific groups support is steady.  This metric is liberal support vs. the national average remains steady..

weeks of the debt crisis coverage in the media. Steady for a month at 72 by several different parameters, and not falling the way the commentariat would have you believe.

No one's claiming it's steady since election. This is a discussion about a limited time frame, and the interp will change depending on that.
