  •  The diary is pretty poor in quality (5+ / 0-)

Thus the high number of "recommends"

Are a perfect case study in Confirmation Bias.

The usual suspects (i.e. Diehard Obama Supporters) are willing to accept any narrative that paints the President's decisions in a positive light; regardless of whether that narrative makes any sense given recent events.  How can the diarist honestly claim that a USA position is apolitical given the Siegelman Investigation and AttorneyGate?

      •  Or, conversely, the Diehard Obama (4+ / 0-)

Haters are willing to accept any narrative that painst the President's decisions in a negative light; regardless of whether or not that narrative makes any sense given the reality of US Attorneys, the historical non-political nature of their appointments, their nominating process, etc.

Jeez, doesn't anyone here remember the outrage of Bush politicizing the U.S. Attorneys?  Do we have the memories of goldfish?

jumping to wild conclusions without really knowing all of the facts to this situation.  I would think that people would have had enough of that from the Anthony Weiner blow up.

Many of the reactions in the other diary are overblown.  Just because Barlow was an Attorney for a Tea Partier, it does not necessarily follow that he is, himself, a Teabagger as well.  Which is why I am withholding judgement on his appointment until I can review his record.  Although I will say right now that it doesn't speak well for Brlow that he has worked in Corporate Law for 10 years and has no experience as a prosecutor.  But still, jumping to any conclusion without a complete review of his record is hasty.

And if that was the kind of diary that Matisyahu wrote (i.e. we should wait until everyone can evaluate his credentials and work/political history) then I wouldn't be complaining.  But instead, he wrote this: a shameless propaganda piece filled with outright falsehoods.

    •  How so? (4+ / 0-)

It's very thorough and well-reasoned.  Present facts to challenge what it says if you think it's such "poor quality."  Sniping away with vapid comments like you just posted doesn't cut it.

    •  Yet you posted in here anyway. (1+ / 0-)
